Imam Calif Chronicles (Part I): Taking PRIDE in Islamic Conquest.

Hark! A Big thank you to Brother Calif for his post. While conversions have their role, we are commanded by Allah to spread the faith by the sword, witness the history of Islam's spread

Islam is best on the Offense, not the Defense. It's history attests to that.

7th century – Did the Byzantines attack Muslims before Muslims invaded and conquered Palestine and North Africa? No.

7th century – Did the Zoroastrian Persians attack Muslims before Muslims invaded and hegemonized Persia? No.

---

I realize that many of these can be seen in a "negative" light due to the watering-down of Islam. In truth, we should be proud of every single event in that historic line, the influence and spread of Islam, and the more conquests to come. Do not be ashamed of the "tougher" aspects of our Faith. Any belief can be "pretty" and "gentle".

And Islam has that. but it does not pretend that human nature is solely peaceful and that we can coexist with different moralities and religions. No. we need ONE. ONE faith. ONE government. ONE God. ONE way. Only after this UNITY is achieved can peace reside throughout humanity for untold lengths of time. That many are fools and do not accept the wisdom of this are therefore responsible for the consequences -- with the consequences clearly outlined in the Holy Quran, in the Sunnah of the Rasool (saw) and in the history of our Faith.
