I thought I would post here, some videos to review.

It has been said of me that I promote "... a very fanatical version of Islam as if it is THE Islam do nothing to promote understanding of Islam in the west."

Now, the below videos are from an assorted number of Middle Eastern countries, and the topic of them is "The Islamic Rules of how to discipline your wife."

I will add no commentary, other than a quote from the Noble Quran.

QURAN 4:34 - "Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them. Surely God is high, supreme."

Saudi Expert on Family Affairs Dr. Ghazi Al-Shimari Explains Wife Beating in Islam and States:

If a Wife Licks Pus and Blood Coming Out of Her Husband's Nose - She Still Would Not Have Observed All His Rights Iqra TV (Saudi Arabia) - June 18, 2007

"If I were to order anybody to bow before anyone, I would order the wife to bow before her husband." The husband's rights are very great. Therefore, according to a reliable Hadith, a woman said: "Oh Prophet of Allah, I will not marry before you tell me what my husband's rights from me are."

The Prophet said: "Do you really want to know?" She said: "Yes." He said: "If pus or blood comes out of your husband's nose and you lick is up, you still will not have observed all his rights." The rights of the husband are great, and you must observe them."

Egyptian cleric Galal Al-Khatib Explains Wife-Beating in Islam Aired on Al-Rahma TV (Egypt) - December 24, 2008

One of the husband's rights is to discipline his wife if she is disobedient. What does the word "disobedience" mean? Disobedience is to leave the house without the husband's permission, to refuse to obey the husband in bed, to speak to the husband impolitely, or to do the opposite of what he likes. All these are forms of disobedience. "

President of Al-Azhar University and Fomer Mufti of Egypt Ahmad Al-Tayyeb Explains Wife Beating in Islam Aired on Nile News (Egypt) - May 25, 2007

"With regard to wife beating... In a nutshell, it appeared as part of a program to reform the wife. [According to the Koran], first "admonish them," [then] "sleep in separate beds, and beat them."

Bahraini Imam Jum'a Tawfiq Jum'a on Wife Beating in Islam Bahrain TV - May 16, 2007

"Beatings are indispensable. Beatings are not restricted to wives. The Prophet Muhammad told us that a son... He said: "Teach your sons how to pray until the age of seven, and beat them until the age of ten, if they don't [pray]." What is the purpose of the beatings here? If it had no benefit, the Prophet Muhammad would not have mentioned it, because he speaks not of his own mind, and everything he says is a revelation."

Saudi Cleric Muhammad Al-'Arifi Explains Wife Beating in Islam to Young Muslims in a Ramadhan Show Aired on LBC TV (Lebanon) - September 9, 2007

"If he beats her, the beatings must be light and must not make her face ugly. He must beat her where it will not leave marks. He should not beat her on the hand... He should beat her in some places where it will not cause any damage. He should not beat her like he would beat an animal or a child - slapping them right and left. Unfortunately, many husbands beat their wives only when they get mad..."

Mufti of Egypt Sheik Ali Gum'a: Wife-Beating Is Permitted by Islam in Muslim Countries, but Is Forbidden in the West Aired on Al-Risala TV (Saudi Arabia) - May 26, 2006

"Ali Gum'a: Wife-beating is associated with the cultural status of women in the different societies. Women in some cultures are not averse to beatings. They consider it as an expression of masculinity, and as a kind of control, which she herself desires."

Bahraini Cleric Abdullah Latif Aal Mahmoud on the Rules of Wife Beatings in Islam Aired on Bahrain TV - June 20, 2005

" It must be done according to the following conditions: He must not cause bleeding or bruise her body. He should avoid her face and other sensitive parts of her body. As we've said, the limitations on beating are: They must not cause bleeding, they should not break any bones, they should not be on the face, and they should not bruise her."

Saudi Sheik: "A Wife Needs to Comply with Her Husband's Desires in Bed" Iqra TV (Saudi Arabia) - March 22, 2005 Transcript:

"Sheik Muhammad Al-Munajid: According to Islam, a wife needs to comply with her husband's desires in bed. The Prophet Muhammad said: "If a man calls his wife to fulfill his needs, she must come, even if she is by the stove," according to the Al-Tarmizi tradition....

... God is aware of men's needs. He knows that a man may have just come home, and maybe he desires something or maybe he saw something. He knows what this need is, and this is why he ordered the wife to consent to her husband, even if she is by the stove. Even if she is baking she must consent to him.....

The wife in the West is not obligated to do so. Moreover, a wife can be raped by her husband there. They claim that if he has sex with her against her will - this is rape!

They consider this rape!

They claim she must be willing.

They claim that she must want it!

Friday Seremon on Quartar TV Aired on Quatar TV - August 27, 2004

"We must know that [wife] beating is a punishment in Islamic religious law. No one should deny this because this was permitted by the Creator of Man, and because when you purchase an electric appliance or a car you get instructions - a catalogue, explaining how to use it.

We shouldn't be ashamed before the nations of the world who are still in their days of ignorance, to admit that these [beatings] are part of our religious law.

We must remind the ignorant from among the Islamic Nation who followed the [West], that those [westerners] acknowledge the wondrous nature of this verse. There are three types of women with whom life is impossible without beatings...

.... The intelligent people in the [West] admit that a woman does not feel comfort and is not happy unless she's under a man who commands, forbids, controls, and leads.

This is the nature of people according to Allah's creation."
